Breaking News from the Senate

Senator Bayh announced today the creation of a new moderate democratic working group in the Senate. As of now, there are about 12 moderate democrats with a few others quietly supporting the effort. Senator Bayh said "we want to work together with party leaders" to look at the difficult issues in the upcoming budget. They don't have a formal name for the group just yet, but soon to be announced. Senator Bayh said they wanted to work with party leaders on bills before they come to the floor. Bayh said, "the difficulty comes when things are just handed down, without taking to account the point of view of some of us who have a slightly different point of view" He foresees a "cooperative effort moving forward with a few creative differences."
